new daily pleasure: Cafe Manchado

don't let this rainy summer get you down, try our new favorite drink Cafe Manchado (espresso with leche condensada) is a little bit of Spain in a cup, enjoy!

this summer take some time to recharge...

After starting our own business the idea of taking time off has more meaning than ever, Marcelo and I had the luck of taking a week off this month and got to enjoy La Costa del Sol in the beautiful south of Spain. Vacations are like a parenthesis that we make to evaluate our life, take a pause to recharge and get inspired again, that was certainly my case, even though I wouldn't mind still being by the pool, I had a great energy and enthusiasm about being back at the store, I love our customers, our home, our community, and I'm in full creative mode getting product ideas for the next holiday season, but I think is necessary to take that time off to see clear again, I hope you get a chance to get some time off this summer! in the meantime here are some pictures to inspire you!

Meet Giulietta

TOCCA Beauty’s latest fine fragrance launch was inspired by the love story of Italian director Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina. The famed movie-maker’s romance with his actress wife was one for the ages.

Also known as Federico’s “Lo Spippolo”, meaning the small things

that inspire tenderness, Giulietta was the heart and soul of Fellini’s masterpieces. This new Eau de Parfum scent carries her namesake and draws from the ethereal scents reminiscent of the couple’s trips to the island of Corsica where the two dreamt up the director’s visionary tales.

Top notes: Bulgarian Rose, Ylang Ylang, Green Apple, Pink Tulips

Middle notes: Lily of the Valley, Iris Pallida, Vanilla Orchid, Lilac, Heliotrope

Bottom notes: Cedar wood, Musk, Amber, Sandalwood

Historic St Andrews Farmers Market

As many of you know the St Andrews Farmers Market was recently opened at Adelaide & Maud, in the same place where the Historic St Andrews Market once existed, and like the rest of the community we are so excited to have the farmers in our neighborhood every Saturday, providing us with much needed fresh produce. We are also delighted to have a space under the Friends of the Market tent, where La Merceria will be serving coffee throughout the market season, so next Saturday you are in the area make sure to come and visit us!
