For those of you yet to be personally acquainted with our special nook La Merceria is two comfort-laden worlds - a cosy cafe, with home-style Argentine inspired food and expertly prepared Illy espresso, and a haven of home decor from bed to bath to kitchen - that unite under the banner of "daily pleasures from around the world".
La Merceria's light-filled space is curated (some people prefer to think of the space as a gallery) by Sandra Rojas-Chinni, whose intuition for heart-warming details is reflected in the unique selection of homewares.
If Sandra is the heart of homeware, husband Marcelo is the backbone, especially when it comes to the Argentine delights of the cafe. Celebrated alfajores, homemade empanadas and a passion for espresso all stem from Marcelo's Buenos Aires upbringing.
